Lapsis

A delivery driver takes a job pulling cable on foot over miles of wooded terrain to connect cubes that form part of a new quantum trading market.

"Lapsis" is touted as satire about the gig economy and on that front, it's a bit too close to home to be very funny. Exploiting workers while monitoring their every step isn't amusing even in a nonsensical setting. It's a lot to ask of audiences to sit in the uncertainty of not knowing what's happening and not deliver a cohesive plot or even a good working conspiracy theory. Something's wrong somewhere.
