Kong: Skull Island
A science expedition into uncharted territory goes awry when the explorers discover a host of ancient monsters.
"Kong: Skull Island" is an unwarranted reboot that feels like an excuse for the studio to test their new computer software. Stunning visual effects amount to very little in the absence of a captivating story and three-dimensional characters. It's an absolute waste of talent from the noteworthy crew, with Kong resigned to bashing lizards and beating his chest against the sunset. The vistas are undeniably beautiful, but leave you wondering why other elements of the film didn't receive the same consideration. 'Zzz' Island.Anthony Macali
