Knives Out

A detective investigates the suspicious death of a wealthy book author.

"Knives Out" is an amusing and mischievous homage to a long-forgotten genre. Well aware of its own premise, the film takes you down a relatively linear path in a bid to prevent its audience from playing the guessing game. The ensemble cast is delectable, eccentric in character and notoriously conniving. While the investigation might stall in the second half, the invariable reveal is an impressive delight. Knife in the back.
