King Richard

Richard Williams has a 78-page plan and is single-minded in providing coaching to his daughters, Venus and Serena, to ready them for the professional tennis world.

This is a story of family, love, dedication, and tennis. Unsurprisingly there's a lot of tennis to be played, and the nearly 180-minute runtime takes us from humble beginnings to a feel-good conclusion. "King Richard" is compelling thanks to a talented cast who inhabit their roles convincingly. The plot is tightly held and if threads of truth happen to be blurred by embellishment, the triumph is that the result is game, set and match believable. Love-all.
