The portrayal on the screen is exactly like the pictures created in your head while reading the book, right down to the all-important louvred bedroom window. Each character fills their role perfectly, as if they've just stepped off the page. The setting and era are meticulously depicted, allowing us to slip into their world. Drop through the window.
