Holidate

Two strangers agree to be each other's platonic plus one for holiday celebrations, only to fall in love along the way.

As a romantic comedy, "Holidate" is unconvincing. Our two main characters aren't particularly likable, they have absolutely no chemistry, and their love story isn't something you want to root for. At some points, the plot tries to poke fun at traditional gender roles but ends up emphasising them in the worst ways possible. Stereotypical, one-dimensional supporting characters lend little to the production and the crude humour tends to miss more than it hits. Holidon't.
