A French actor learns her cancer is terminal and gathers her family in Portugal to share one last holiday.

This is a movie composed of moments and played out by the family as if they were members of a chamber orchestra. The audience isn't asked to be very involved, more is happening on the inside for the characters than they are talking about or able to express. That leaves some emotional distance.
