Force of Nature: The Dry 2

Aaron Falk investigates when an undercover informant participating in a corporate hiking challenge disappears in the Giralang Ranges.

In this standalone story with a familiar lead investigator, most noteworthy is the awe-inspiring cinematography which creates a relationship between the audience and the natural environment of the mountain ranges. It may be accidental over ironic that the scenery in a movie subtitled "The Dry 2" is sodden with rain. The effect is atmospheric, but while characters stumble through bushland, audiences stumble through the story with its many side plots and diversions. From corporate fraud, betrayal and addiction, to fragmented childhood recollections, there's a lot of plot to track and trek through.
