First Love

A young man and woman get swept up in a drug trafficking scheme in Tokyo.

"First Love" is like a puzzle where none of the pieces fit. There are so many characters in this film, it's like the scriptwriter didn't know who to focus on and so no one manages to grab the spotlight. Our leading lady barely utters a word and is overshadowed by almost every other character. There's no chemistry between the two leads, and one of the supporting antagonists has such wildly varied delivery of his lines that you might start to wonder how he managed to land the role at all. Unlovable.
