Endings, Beginnings
Drama
A young woman finds herself unsure of her direction in life after going through a relationship breakup and quitting her job.
"Endings, Beginnings" is an intimate glimpse into the life of someone searching for a way forward amidst the turmoil and detritus of their past. A strength of the film is that it's largely improvised. The cast had no written script - they were merely told where each scene needed to end up. This concept gives the stellar acting a raw and very personal element which audiences can identify with. The cinematography, at times hand-held, fully enhances this quality. Notably, a fiercely vulnerable performance by the lead actor makes this movie absorbing viewing from beginning to end.
