Darkest Hour

Biography Drama History War

The fate of Europe rests with newly-elected British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who must deliberate between negotiating or fighting the Nazi threat in the face of great adversity.

"Darkest Hour" is a dialogue-driven biopic that serves as a showcase for the incredible virtuoso performance of its lead. His transformative portrayal of the iconic leader is nuanced and authentic, an unafraid and unabashed portrait of the man's flaws and greatness alike. It serves as a timely reminder about the value of courage and resolve in the face of tyranny; Sir Winston's immortal words are captured with aplomb. Despite some minor issues with the pace of the narrative, the film remains a rousing and engaging chronicle. Dark before the dawn.
