Damsel

A man travels through the Old West of the 19th century with a parson and a miniature horse in order to find his fiancé and liberate her from her captors.

These filmmakers are ones to watch, the technical production design is spectacularly well crafted and the directors' eye to detail is engaging. Familiar story elements are given a twist and melded into a tale that delights and surprises but also confounds and irritates. The movie is diverting even as what you expect is not delivered by any of the characters not the preacher, the damsel, the Indian, or the horse. Untroubled damsel.
