Berlin Syndrome

Thriller

A young backpacker befriends a man on her travels and becomes a prisoner in his apartment.

"Berlin Syndrome" is almost too subtle to classify as a thriller, but the nefarious motives driving this story prove to be highly disconcerting. The lighting, lack of background noise and phenomenal performances from our leads create an eerie atmosphere that will unsettle even the most stoic of viewers. This film is let down by a long running time and an ambiguous ending, but there's no denying the creep-factor in this disturbing journey of obsession and possession. Watch your fingers.
