A young woman runs away from her past life and looks for a fresh start in college. There, she meets Travis Maddox.

Beautiful Disaster is a romance film with hints of danger, delusion, drugs and alcohol. The two leads have convincing chemistry and it's fun to watch the heroine pretend to hate the hero for much of the film - when we all know they're obviously falling for each other. The production is surprisingly light-hearted considering some of the content, with the pops of levity a welcome addition that stops the story from getting too dark. Hey, pigeon.
