Atomic Blonde

As the end of the Cold War approaches, a lone MI6 agent is tasked with tracking down a double agent who is putting the detente at risk.

"Atomic Blonde" is a flashback to the 80s, taking no prisoners as it exploits every trope in the action genre playbook. Our leading lady is phenomenal, kicking ass behind enemy lines and flipping gender stereotypes and expectation on their head. While the film suffers from pacing issues with a slow first half and a bottom heavy conclusion, it's entertaining and engaging nonetheless, aided by a soundtrack that is at times almost distractingly good. One way or another.
