A Quiet Place II

The Abbott family are forced to leave their sanctuary and venture into the outside world.

"A Quiet Place Part II" is one of those rare sequels that successfully expands on the story and enriches the themes of its predecessor. Though it may not reach the lofty heights of the first installment, it forfeits none of the unnerving and anxiety-inducing intensity as it straddles the line between horror and thriller. Clever filmmaking and incredible sound design create an immersive and often-overlooked insight into deafness. It heralds a shift in focus of its central characters, an obvious mechanism to propel the franchise forward. Here's hoping it doesn't go quietly...
